This PCI-hosted circuit board contains a single 2VP70 or 2VP100 FPGA, 4 DDR SDRAM memories, 4 SSRAM memories, 2 flash chips and a variety of high-speed serial ports. Remember that you get 2 PowerPC.s in the larger VirtexII-Pro FPGA.s. Also you get more than 2.3 times as much internal memory in the VirtexII family. More information is here: http://www.dinigroup.com/products/6000k10s.html Remember that ALL of our products come with WORKING reference designs that you are free to use and adapt to your own application. ____________________________________________________________ DN6000k10SC (single F_pga, C_heap) will start shipping Mid November .03 The VirtexII-Pro based DN6000k10SC will start shipping in mid November. This is our lowest cost product ever. This PCI-hosted circuit board contains a single 2VP20, 2VP30, 2VP40 or 2VP50 in the 1152BGA package. External to the FPGA we have: 2 DDR SDRAM memories (133MHz) 2 SSRAM memories (133MHz+) 1 flash chip and a variety of SMA connectors for your high-speed serial needs. You get 2 PowerPC.s in the 2VP20/30/40/50 VirtexII-Pro FPGA.s. Also you get more than 2.3 times as much internal memory in the VirtexII family. I will stock most configurations of this product, so lead times should be short. More information is here: http://www.dinigroup.com/products/6000k10sc.html __________________________________________________________ DN6000k10 9 VirtexII-Pro FPGA.s (the MONSTER) We have completed design of the DN6000k10 and should start shipping this product before the end of November .03. This USB-based logic emulation platform contains nine (NINE, 9!) VirtexII-Pro FPGA.s in the FF1704 package. In addition, there are 12 DDR.s, and 5 flash. This is our highest performance product both size speed and size. It is capable of emulating 6 million ASIC gates (that.s REAL ASIC gates not the goofy FPGA system gates). Eight serial links are included, and RocketI/O's are connected between FPGA.s to allow for high-speed data movement. This one nearly drove my engineering staff nuts. The layout people are still mumbling incoherently. I'm hoping that they will be OK. I'll keep you posted. This one is quite a monster. Information is here: http://dinigroup.com/products/6000k10.html As is the case with all of our products ask for a quote. This stuff is cheaper than you would expect. I can sell this to you for cheaper than you can make it on your own! __________________________________________________________ Mictor daughter card for all Logic Emulation products (DN3k10SD_Mictor) OK. The CEO has never liked the Mictor connectors. He finds them over priced and mechanically unstable. But the performance is good and both Tektronix and HP have logic analyzers that connect to them directly. So those of us in the marketing department FINALLY convinced the idiot to build an observation daughter card that has the mictors. Are all CEO.s as stupid as the one that runs this place? Right out of Dilbert but with worse hair. Anyway, the DN3k10SD_mictor should start shipping in the first week of November. Information is here: http://www.dinigroup.com/~mdini/DNMictorv10hr.pdf PS For some unexplainable reason, HP and Tek number the pins differently on the Mictor connector. Have you ever gotten the impression some mystic force is conspiring to make your job more difficult? The lack of a pin numbering standard for a simple, overpriced connector seems to fall into this category. __________________________________________________________ Humor links . This one made me laugh quite hard. The title is .How NOT to install computer hardware. and it is by Sander Sassen. http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/article/1672.2/ A similar one is here: http://www.dansdata.com/sbs3.htm The title here is .How to Destroy Your Computer. Money quote .First, it is essential to be incorrectly prepared.. I.m not sure who was first, but the author of this article insults the author of the first one listed here. Also John Cooley, the mastermind of ESUNG, has added a humor banner at DEEPCHIP.COM. As I am writing this, no humor is present. But John promises to change the humor every 3 days or so. Knowing John, I suspect this will get quite racy. Someday I hope to be important enough in the world of high tech to be the subject of this type of humor. But I have a long way to go . (sigh) We, of course, will be submitting banner humor suggestions to John. Awards will be given to anybody who recognizes our humor handiwork on deepchip. Link is here http://www.deepchip.com/ __________________________________________________________ Shameless plug for Dad.s new book . Dad.s new book is out. The title is .Challenging Environmental Mythology: Wrestling Zeus.. Here is how Amazon describes it: .This book is a critical look at the current state of the environmental movement, which has reached the status of a mythological deity. The original intent of the movement, to educate and formulate public policy using sound scientific data has been lost. All that is left is politicking and activism based on a crumbling foundation of junk science. Covering select areas, this book shares with readers the research showing that much of what we have been led to believe is true, is actually myth. It is an attempt to elicit awareness by the public in the hopes that pressure will be put on policymakers to make sound decisions on the environment, which are based on science, not on the opinions and desires of activists.. If you have actually read this far, I feel sorry for you and I offer the following: to the first 10 people that email me, I will send a free copy of Dad.s book to you. This is limited to the continental US, and you must assure me that you will actually read the book. It is short and a very entertaining read. So we will be able to ship a small number of DN6000k10S.s with this device before Thanksgiving. __________________________________________________________ PMC and PC/104+ Interface to all Logic Emulation products We are about finished with our PMC, PC/104+ adapter. This transposer card will allow you to connect any PMC or PC/104+ card to our logic emulations products. Information will be available shortly. Stay tuned. __________________________________________________________ Consulting Services... We have some bandwidth available in our consulting services division.
